Manchester United is a professional football club based in Old Trafford, Greater Manchester, England. Nicknamed "the Red Devils," the club was founded in 1878 as Newton Heath LYR Football Club and has since become one of the most successful and popular football clubs in the world.

One of Manchester United's most notable achievements is their record of winning the English top-flight league title a record 13 times. They have also won the European Cup/Champions League three times and the UEFA Cup/Europa League once. In addition, the club has won numerous domestic cups, including the FA Cup a record 12 times and the League Cup five times.
