Giant players Ribery and Robin

 


Frank Ribery and Arjen Robben are two of the most skilled and successful soccer players of their generation. Both players spent the majority of their careers at Bayern Munich, one of the most successful clubs in Germany and Europe.

Ribery, a French winger, joined Bayern Munich in 2007 and quickly became a key player for the team. Known for his dribbling skills and ability to create scoring opportunities, Ribery helped Bayern win numerous titles, including eight Bundesliga titles, six DFB-Pokal titles, and the Champions League in 2013. He was also named the Footballer of the Year in Germany three times and was a key member of the French national team, helping them reach the World Cup final in 2018.

Like Ribery, Robben was a winger known for his pace and ability to score goals. He joined Bayern Munich in 2009 and helped the team win numerous titles, including seven Bundesliga titles and the Champions League in 2013. Robben was also a key player for the Dutch national team, helping them reach the World Cup final in 2010 and win the Bronze medal at the 2014 World Cup.

In addition to their success at the club level, both Ribery and Robben were consistently ranked among the best players in the world during their careers. Ribery was named to the UEFA Team of the Year three times and was a finalist for the Ballon d'Or, given to the best player in the world, in 2013. Robben was also named to the UEFA Team of the Year and was a finalist for the Ballon d'Or in 2014.

Both Ribery and Robben retired from professional soccer in 2019, leaving a lasting legacy as two of the most skilled and successful players of their generation.
